QUICK SCHEDULING

We have an effective system that allows us to quickly schedule a service.

6 common gutter issues that homeowners contact us about:

1. Improperly Pitched

In order for your gutter system to be working correctly and draining water, your gutters need to be pitched at the right slope. Over time, a gutter system does lose it's alignment.

We put a level to gutters and make sure it is sloped towards the closest downspout. When a gutter is pitched correctly, water dosn't stand but quickly moves towards the downsput and flushes out.

2. Sagging or Pulling Away

There are many reasons a gutter may start sagging or pulling away from a building; The most common issue is the fascia board to which it is secured to. The fascia board may be getting wet and begins to rot, or it may not be secure to the stud behind it.

This is a common gutter issue, and we address it by removing the gutter and securing it, or replacing the facsia board, then securing the gutter back on to it.

3. Improperly Placed or Missing Downspouts

Downspouts need to be installed on gutters every 30 feet, and depending on the size of the roof and the amount of the water that comes down; larger downspouts may be needed.

Downspouts need to drain at least 3 feet from the foundation of your home. Our company also ensures the downspouts are installed in areas where the ground is sloped down, to direct water away from the property.

4. Holes & Rust

Over time, steel gutters start to rust. Depending on the amount and size of the rust, we may either patch it, or suggest to replace the entire piece.

We usually replace them with aluminum gutters that never rust.

5. Overflowing

Overflowing gutters are a common issue. The most common reason for a gutter to overflow may be that the gutter is too small for the amount of water that is coming off the roof or the gutter may not be sloped correctly; preventing water from draining down the downspout. The gutter may also be clogged and full of debris.

6. Leaking Miters, Corners & Fascia

Leaking miters and leaks coming from behind a gutter, are one of the most common problems we come across. Leaking miters and corners happen because the caulking at the seams becomes brittle and starts to crack.

We remove the old caulking, and apply a fresh layer of commercial grade gutter sealant. We have a 10 Year Leak Free Guarantee on our seals.
